Ok, we have seen photos of real and fakes from other threads. Time to test your on the spot identification skill, just like if you've been offered to some good deals unexpectingly where u have to decide on the spot, without the advantage of having real one(s) beside u to compare with. To start, i'm attaching 3 photos of yonex MP bags, bag #1, #2, #3, plus two photos of them together, showing their each ends. OK, which bag is real and/or fake? They could be all reals or all fakes or combination of. Remeber to take into account of different regions may add variation. Just like a potential real situation, u see this deal and u have to decide on the spot. Sorry, no prize for this quiz PS: all plural used or lack of could be there to add confusion (ie, don't read too deep into my grammatical skill)
Let me guess, #1 and #2 are real ones, and only the #3 is the fake one. (However, #2 seems a little shaky to me.....) Oh, wait, #2 is weird, that "R" shouldn't be in middle. So, I will just say only the First one is real
normally, id say that 1 is fake, 2 & 3 are real, but recently, i've seen a few TH rackets, bought from bangkok, the latest that i can remember being an at500 and mp99, come with the #1 type of bags. The rackets look like they're real, with laser etched Serial #s, the musclepower grommets for the mp99. So i told myself that TH, can owe their riduculously low prices to the poorer quality of bags, aside from the other rumor that TH rackets dont have warranty. I used to include bag evaluation in fake identification, but recently, ive decided to take the bags out of the equation... anyway, in most stores here in the philippines, the displayed rackets dont come displayed with their bags.
bag #2 and #3 seems to be made from synthethic material. bag #1 seems to be made from 'canvas'. this is according to picture 5. picture 4 isnt so clear as i cant see what material of all the bags are made from. my bet goes to # 1 real but #2 & 3 fake. i'm going to go check it out first and i'll be back later to confirm.
i suppose they are all some type of synthethic material. but bag #2 & 3 are made from a shinier material. the kind of thin glossy leather that is normally used for making sofas. pvc maybe? donno, im not good with terms and exact names. i dont know about canada but i've never seen a yonex bag (cover) made from that kind of material. at least not the upper end models. so i still pick bag #1 as the only original. cause of the 'canvas' material. the zips are most probably mass produced goods and should be easily avaiable to other manufacturers so they shouldn't be a good indicator. hmm thats it i suppose.
Why we spot the bags? I mean, as long as the racket is real and the price is good, it's a good deal, right? I can accept a good deal of racket, even without any bag. Anyway, my guess is all 3 are real.
the quiz is meant to test our generalize overall recognition ability and as for novelty fun. Yes it is not as practical as spotting rackets but there are tons of photos of various rackets around already. ie, no use quizzing the obvious or easy queries. Just like game shows, how many of those questions are really practical or meaninglessful? If one is good at it, he/she is good on all aspects of that topic, ON THE SPOT (like game show contestants or pop quiz from your teacher, without the benefit of having to go look or research), not just one key item like recognizing rackets.
Lol... I was just kidding lah.. I really like this pop quiz idea. Just can't resist to make a joke about the bag. Sorry...
1st has to be real for sure. Just hope Cooler doesn't come to us and tell us that all covers are fake!""!"!
I say 1 and 2 are real, 1 looks exactly like my case, and i think 2 might be a case that came from asia
