well, depending on how much you bought it for. Some fakes are only $10 USD, so in that case, not worth it.
since you already have it, i guess it is worth stringing. i think your question should be, if it is worth using? IMHO, if you're a beginner, it would be worth it. or else you wouldn't know the feel/difference of using a fake from an original. i used to own a fake mp99. i didn't have any problems with it. the only reason why i sold it was because i felt my game was improving and felt i needed a better one.
nah man I'm no beginner. I have a real at800de as well as the fake. I geuss it's up to my brother cause he's the one that bought it. anyway thanks for the replies
it's not worth stringing if that's your case. try to get a refund. but if all else fails. better string it and give him a devastating smash in the head if you see him! then it would be all worth it! hahaha
fake racket? string it with fake string then... that should give you no regrets at all I'd string my fake racket so i could lend it out to beginner friends. At least i dont have to worry about them breaking it, but at the same time might be able to get them to play more baddie.
I'd probably string it. That way you got a racquet at least. ALthough if you were trying to get refund. best to leave it alone...
Maybe just string it with a average string at a reasonable tension (just it case it will crack at high tension) and take it as a spare racket... I doubt getting a refund is easy...
tried getting a refund, but since he's from china. Paypal can't give me insurance on international orders for some reason. Yeh I'm gonna string it at like 20 pounds and use it as a spare
Mojojo, can you feel what is the difference between the fake and the real one? for example, during smash, clear, drop shot etc. I have tried both fake (bg65) and real (non-bg string), but as they are not using the same string I can't compare exactly what is the difference. The real one is definitely more powerful, but the fake one I tried was also not too bad.
Tried a fake AT800 OF. The power is quite good although very hard to find the sweet spot of the racquet.... not very consistent. Just like using a baseball bat..you either hit it or you don't.......
