    Badminton Coverage

    Hi there Kenny

I'd be interested too. I checked CBC and they only have one listing of badminton for one day. TSN has nothing listed. According to the Ontario Badminton Association there should be coverage on NBC, but I've checked that too. NBC's web shows listed Bravo will be doing the Badminton coverage. Unfortunatly it appears that we in Canada get Bravo Canada and not Bravo USA. Bravo USA looks like there is quite a bit of coverage, Bravo Canada lists nothing just a selection of Bravo USA shows. Doh

    Anyone elese have any input?

likely no coverage here (canada) as this time I feel that we have the lowest caliber players attending such high profile event. My guess is that we'll all be wipe out after first round, with dismal scores too.

    you mean this match?

BERGSTROM Frederik / PERSSON Johanna (SWE) beats BERES Mike / PATRICK Jody (CAN)
    15-17 15-11 15-4

well, i had highlighted mike beres in another post before, he had prolly carried Jody and got tired in the end. He can only do so much. Jody should change her coach (which have no national nor international badminton experience).

Puzzled: william milroy/tammy sun beat mike beres/jody patrick during 2004 national. DOn't know why mike/jody end up playing in athen instead of william and tammy.

Unfortunately Milroy/Sun are ranked over 200th place on the World Ranking list.

Did Kara Solmundson retire? What happened to her?
Which of the two pairs you think are/were stronger: Mike & Kara or Mike & Jody?

Simple: Sun and Milroy didn't compete at international level to qualify for the Olympics.

prolly similar but as both are trained by the same coach ( i think)
kara has a large physique (still nice) and should smash i bit harder than jody.
Jody is i think a bit smarter player tho. Just my gut feelings.

CBC is showing the WS gold medal game. Thursday 7:00am to 12:00pm thats the 19th. For all other badminton in Olympics you need to have Bravo USA not Bravo Canada. Oh and the time is EST because I'm from toronto.
    Hope this helps.

    Xo_BaddyGrl_oX....

CNBC and Bravo in Canada Cable Television do not carry any badminton coverage, as far as I know...I have checked the time table through their website. little bit disappointed about it.
