i am wondering about the Chen Hong / Jonassen match.

anyone know their head-to-head record off hand? wb.net is down as usual so i cannot check it there.

Jonassen is one tough fighter and got immense ability to dig every shot back and Chen Hong although have desent offense, can lose concentration easily. i predict this will be one see-saw fight and i must say that i believe Jonassen will come out on top at the end.

I am not sure but if it is an offense vs defense match it is going to favour Chen Hong. I am sure Xia would have passed on some tips..However if Jonnasen goes out attacking, he could take it in three sets in my opinion.

I just checked from worldbadminton.net, and it seems Chen Hong holds the advantage in their head-to-head record, with 3-1. Although their last meeting was in 2002, much has changed since though...With Lin Dan ousted, I definitely hope Chen can make China proud... :D

Choong and Lee has won the Thai pair of Pramote and Tesarna.

I hope I can watch Alven and Luluk play now after witnessing the loss of Sigit and Trikus

    Chinese Dominance Over ?

The Chinese are lagging behind. Zhang and Zhou Mi could not win in straight sets in their first round matches. Even Gong had to struggle against Li Li.

I am now going to catch Alven and Luluk play. I will give the score as soon as the match ends. Bye Bye !!!

My friend, at least you have the luxury of resting first. Last night, after the euphoria of Ronald's victory, which started past midnight here and ended past 1 am, I wasn't able to retire to bed until about 3 am. And this morning I'm paying the price in the office, trying to stealing naps here and there. Thank goodness, I don't have to answer to anybody. And it appears that I will have to retire late again tonight if I want to enjoy the other matches! :)

    Mr. Loh,

This is the neighbour up north....Your Susilo really did every other nations a favour!!! There is a possibility of another upset tonight. ie. Chen Hong. You need the " Home Alone " boy Xia to demolish Kenneth. He is the most deceptive Chinese player. Li Yong Bo must be shaken yesterday.

More disaster for China in the men singles in the making.

Favourite now got to be Peter Gade
