I'm looking for a training partner to do drills, maybe play some singles, a couple of hours a week, in East London. I live near Beckton and there a few good sports centres nearby but I don't mind travelling a bit further out. I'm a middle league standard player but I don't mind practising with someone below or above me. Cheers, David
I also live in east London. Hi: I also live in east london, I have not played for abotu 6 month, and would like to start again. please let me know, I am available about 8pm week days, or all weekends. thanks Laz
Training partner Hi David, I also looking for good players you want train in drill play singles so if you are interested in a game or to train then let me know please, as I like to have competitive games with feathershuttles as I am being coached in Lee Jae bok's Academy in Sobell Leisure centre. Thank you Akife
I'll Play!!! Hi there, I play at the Sobell Centre and I'm looking for a playing/training partner to play midweek Tuesday? evenings. I'm intermediate level. Email if interested. Email: munwaiwong@hotmail.com Ta.
Come down to Bacons college, Timberpond road, near Canada Water station on Tuesdays. We have the courts from 7 - 10.30. a Fiver a pop and u'll meet lotsa enthusiastic players cheers
Canada Waters Hi, Thanks for the post. How many courts do you have and how many players on average turn up? Could you tell me is it just for recreational playing or are here club players playing too? Thanks,
Heya, We got 4 courts (sometimes 3) from 7 - 1030. Standards pretty varied. The better players tend to stay the latest when there are more courts. I would say the first part of the evening is highly social...than it gets more competitive. We're currently a Div 3 club..but some of our players would more be Div 2 level I think On the average, about 20 - 25 people turn up.
I recently joined this thread. An average player, but would like to improve. Can anyone drop in to play or do we have to contact anyone who organised this event? Would like to join in on a Thursday evening. Would be grateful for a reply.
Sessions at Bacons Hi there Simply pop down to the courts at the following times Tue - 7 pm (Alan) Wed - 7 pm (usually starts at 8, Simon) Thur - 730 (Leigh or Mooch) Pay per play cheers!
i came to one tuesday session, but it was very packed, so many players... how is it on thursday, because i might just come on thursday. the players are cool people.
Packed!! Yes, I have to agree that theres been loads more people turning up on Tuesdays. For some reason, people like to play on tuesdays? Wednesdays and thursdays are not as crowded. In order of popularity/number of people turning up, Tues, Thurs, Wednesdays Cheers!
All, Thursday session has been turned into a closed, members' only session. Feel free to come for Tue or Wed session Sorry about that
FYI Theres has been an overload of players coming on all three days and I've been informed that the clubs on all 3 days are now closed for new members Sorry all Cheers eK
Hi David I'm beginner....actually I'm try to find someone to play with during workdays on the evening. I'm leaving at Surrey Quays and I don't mind if I have to move to another place to play. Do you have any idea about clubs nearby as well? Thanks
Playing during the week Hi David, Do you play by any chance on Sunday mornings at a club near Edgware Road from 9am to 13am? Crompton Road I think is the name at the Westminster Hall. I play there as well and there is somebdody called David. I would like to play during the week but I am looking for a good/high level. I would like to do some drills and play again some singles. I live in Pimlico and don't have a car, but could (if good transport available) travel a distance around that area of 30 min or so.... If somebody has any good ideas.... Thanks Manuel
