I recorded the Women Singles match, and would like to have it available for all interested.

Unfortunately, the video starts at 3-1 in the first game; so a few points are missing...

Currently I am still encoding it (Xvid); any ideas what's the best way to share it?

R U gonna cut it in three sets or just 1 file for the whole match. Asking since I have it on tape from the beginning and was thinking of doing the same. Still working out what settings to use though, especially for synchronizing sound but maybe u have some advice on that. I'll probably have to do it the hard way I guess :p splitting picture and sound n then putting them back together with TMPEG right?

    i suggest bit torrent.

Actually, I was hoping to host a ftp for all the badminton action, and would have used bit torrent to optimize speed and load. I currently or will have all the US broadcast.

If someone can supply me the other exciting matches. I can wrap them in torrent.

Sounds good. Especially for people like me who were not given the opportunity to see any or some of these matches :D

    [edit]
Bittorrent with a tracker somewhere would be the best option. FTP would be great too, but it requires a host. eMule would be my third choice. Oh and when you do create a torrent file, don't make one huge file because that would take forever to download. Better if there were torrents of one entire match.

I was thinking of just 1 file.

I'm sort of in doubt whether to release this non-complete movie ... I guess if someone else has the complete match, THAT is the one that should be spread.

As for the creating part, I record using a small tool called AMCap, and then use VirtualDub to prepare the movie for use with TMPGEnc XPress. If you want more advice, don't hesitate to ask. ;)

Yeah, I know the feeling. So far I've only seen the matches with Audina (singles/doubles). Only the singles final was broadcasted entirely.

thank-you for all your effort in encoding it. Anything is good and will be appreciated. I only saw the mixed-double and half of the singles female final match so im really anxious to see the rest of it.

Bittorent and FTP i prefer over emule, but that's just me :)

i have the full match recorded from SBS. until the olympic badminton and table tennis are over my vcr will still be hooked up to the tv so i can't transfer the videos to my computer yet. will do that next week.

i suggest you use VirtualVCR to do your video capturing because that program is able to keep video/audio synchronised. if you will be encoding in Xvid then you should just use VirtualDub, there's no need to get it to pass the data to another encoding program.

there are no links up; it takes time for them to encode it and other people are still watching and recording other matches.

Well, I wasn't happy with the xvid result, so I did a MPG encode. Currently trying to find out how to make a .torrent file. Will post back asap.

Will look for it, I use Roxio Videowave right now. Always seem to have problems with virtualdub, never have any sound and it always crashes when trying to encode something but I just dl'ed a virtualdubmod so I'll give that a try. Audio & video are running equal/in synch in the captured file but not in the encoded file but maybe that VirtualVCR will solve that.
    Cheers.

Oh yeah, your big advantage is ofcourse that u have english commentary :)

Please: if someone is downloading the file, please say so in this topic, as I'm not entirely sure everything's set up correctly... thanks.

Okay, I seemed to have made some mistakes configuring the torrent software. Things should be okay now, but if not, please report.
