Anyone interested in playing with intermediate badminton player? Im like 15 yrs old... but im pretty good...... well im ok.... If u wanna play i can go to most place in Vancouver and Richmond. Except for VRC Because im not member.
Hey Van-Cyko, Where do you usually play? I am sure there are many sessions in community centers dedicated to juniors (under 18s), you just have to check them out in your local community center recreation guide. There's a $2 session called the "nightshift" in Cambie Community Center for 13-18yrs old. Playing time is from 10:30pm to 1:30am on friday nights. If your parent is willing to drive you to Richmond, that's a good place to play.
Hey..Van-Cyko i don't mind playing with you.. i gotten beaten by some 15 here..locally too... So i don't doubt you, would like to play against you.. if its ok with you....just for fun... Let me know where to go to play tho....i am not familiar with a lot of place in Van or Richmond, if its in Richmond, it would be better since i am not planning to rent a car, so getting around won't be too flexible for me, but will manage. Hey Terence, I don't wanna disappoint you but I don't play there. They have an age restriction to only under 18s (maybe under 25s) so I haven't qualify that for many years. It's supposedly very popular and gets crowded so you might wanna head in early if you intend to go there. I have been playing more at VRC during the summer but will be returning to Collingwoods Sundays and Cameron on Monday nights soon.
Good luck at Cameron. I just checked the Winter schedule and Mon nights at Cameron has been pushed to 9:30 - 10:50 starting Sep 13! I'm hoping it's a typo. It usually runs 7:10 to 8:50 or so. -dave

hey - as membership director - it would be remiss of me not to encourage you to join up full time. there's only a few (less than a dozen) badminton membership positions left, and you should take advantage. also your summer fees can go towards the annual membership (but don't quote me on that - i might be a director, but i know jack about the money stuff...). where else could you play till the wee hours and not only NOT have someone kick you out, but there's at least a 1/2 dozen other maniacs like yourself still alive and smashing! as for cameron - you better double check - apparently i heard that the gym is closed for a couple weeks for their annual floor re-finishing. they always do this the last week in august in prep for the fall new year.
I'm 18 and I would like to play with/against you Terence. Come down to BCIT this Saturday at 9am and we can play. It'll be $5 dollars drop-in fee and we can play from 9am till 1pm (very very long hours). I'm intermediate. Let's get a bunch of people from Badminton Central to go to BCIT this Saturday at 9am! We can have a lot of fun.
