The other day, i was at the badminton courts, i see one young guy who is a coach to a group of beginners. He was carrying a big box of shuttle tubes. The box reads yonex F-90 tournament shuttles - 1 dozen tubes!!!! A few questions came to my mind: 1. Who have access to those super high grade shuttles? How much do they pay them for? 2. How does one become a coach? Need to be technically good? Need to pass exams, both theoretical and practical(real stroke evaluation,...etc) I ask this coz i have seen that coach play, he is just ok, better than me but no big deal and all the kids he teaches are around 8-12 years old i think and the coach just feed them shuttles as they queue up. If he can become a coach, many other people can become also. I guess due to his coaching position, he can get access to F-90 shuttles too Haha, i never even played with one, touch one or seen one Maybe i will ask this coach to let me have a look at one, next time
No offense. But a coach should know, when teach beginners, especially just for drills and practice, why he need to use "super high grade shuttles" (if it is).
anyone can buy f-90s, its only a question if you want to pay. In the past I played on them, and they are really nice, but its worth the savings to step down a notch or two. As for bringing one dozen tubes to play with novices, they must be paying alot for that coach. For most situations ranging from practice to practice games to tournaments I usually play on f-50, f-70, or f-80.
Has anyone tried these shuttles before? Is there really a very noticable diff between AS 40/50 and F-90? What about durability?
well I almost forgot there's a review section although I've done some reviews in the past! tried searching the forums....
