:) Hi everyone it's been a while since I visited this forum.........everyone seemed so young!!!!!! Are there any oldies out there still playing badminton? :( I run a club in the north-east of England with a varying age range and varying standards, but basically we play for fun and to keep fit.

    hello

hahah! however did you come up with that? seemed eh> :D
when i first joined, my first thought (after reading a number of threads) was: whoa! are all of them seniors or what?

but it's great to be part of another great big family who share at least one similar interest.

Hi laughable c. maybe I didn't read enough threads!!!!! However, I did get the impression most people were in their 20's. As I'm well past that age I felt a little isolated. Glad to know there are older badminton players using this forum :) Clubs I play at have members in their 60's & 70's - I'm not quite that old  . Just shows badminton is a sport for all ages and it really does keep you fit.

:D i would say most who regularly frequent BF are averagely in their 30's to 40's.... yeah, there's nothing like badminton, huh? i remember once trying to work out at the gym. didn't really work out for me!! i suppose it would have made more of a difference if there was more company...

    Hi Marya_1,

Welcome to BadmintonForum! :D ... there're players of various ages here on the forum, and regardless of age, the commitment and contribution are priceless. From teenage female fans contributing personal and up-close pictures of badminton superstars like Lin Dan, Taufik, Kim Dong Moon, almost the entire Danish National Team, to older, wiser players/coaches who can recount the badminton greats of the past, provide glimpses of how the game has transitioned over the years, and insights of training regiment etc.

    It's a fun forum indeed!
