Wow. Li Yong Bo is so successful against the great Park Joo Bong, I wonder how he did it.

I think if today's Zhang Ning can use a time machine to travel back to 1996, she should be able to beat Ye and Bang. But if she travels back to 1992, Susanti will still win in a very close match.

About consistency, I wouldn't say it is Zhang Ning's highest quality : she is less consistent than Gong Ruina for example (that's why GRN is world #1), but she is much better than GRN when it is REALLY important (WC, OG...)

Well I would say that is beause she has made the most of herself, and used her experiences well.

I also dont think Gong is as consistent as her. sure gong is #1 but that doesnt mean she is more consistent, it means she is a better player. If gong played her best day ni day out, then she would never lose (IMHO), but she doesnt therfore IMHO she is inconsistent. I believe 90% of the time ZN plays her best, she just isnt as quality as the top players. She uses consistent, unspectacular strokes to work wear the opponent, then kills when the oppurtunity comes. She cant hit outright winners, because she isnt capable (although obviousley some of the time she does), whereas gong/zhou can. Gong/zhou can be awasome, but also dreadful.

I am not criticising ZN, moreso I am admiring her for what she HAS achieved. Zhou Mi for instances has underachieved. If I was to compare with the MS players I would say Gong=Xia/Lin,Zhou =Bao,Chen=XXF, Zhang=Chen yu (although Zhang has obviousley more titles, they have a similar style/game plan)

I feel a torrent of abuse coming!

No it's the other way round : 10-2 in favour of Park/Kim (it wasn't very clear the way it was written)

Not sure, I remember reading somewhere an interview of Susi Susanti saying that she didn't know whether she would be able to beat the current best chinese girls if she were at her prime now...
Well... no in fact, Susi is THE Queen, she would have won that!

Wow, Li Yongbo playing badminton, I mean it crossed my mind that you have to have had been a professional player at some point in time, but I just can't imagine him. Anybody got a picture?

yeah, I like Susi's playing style. Especially when she normally served the ball highly. Yup, tat's is one of the memorable Susi's style that I like.

If you doubted that LiYongBo was not a badminton player (maybe judge from wat's body-size he is having now), could you imagine that Maradona was 1 of the world talented footballer b4??? (His body-size now is likes a pail.)

Hey guys,

This is an interesting question arising from my community.

Who would be the highest ranked male player ZHANG Ning could win over? Can she beat the 100th ranked male player? What's your opinion?
