Agree. I don't think any other country can offer him a better deal than what Indonesia can offer. Hendrawan reward for winning the world championship is a 240 metres square house and some cash prize, that's not bad. That is a good incentive for Taufik to stay, unless he come from a wealthy family that I don't about but my bet is he stay put.
Hi all.... in case any of you feel that this topic has been harped on too many times, I apologise for bringing it up again. Just that I thot the past few times were just threats and eventual giving-in by PBSI, but now tt Mulyo's contract has been officially terminated, it might be interesting to speculate what Taufik is really going to do.... afterall, he's still young and quite impulsive at times... but this is gonna be a real big decision he's gotta make. if he goes to sweden what can he do there? I mean, with the new rule on playing for adopted countries that the new IBF president might want to impose.... it's quite a risk.... Can he not belong to PBSI but still represent the country? just like Roslin's not part of BAM.... My apologies again. : )
Hahaha... wow, a belated wedding gift and an early birthday gift to Hendrawan from the state!! Well, he prob has more use with the money than Taufik, since he has a family to uphold now... and soon enough a child to father.
after retirement what happens when players leave the squad? I read that some indonesian players have requested the assn to promise a monthly pension (is that a correct word to use?) after their retirement.
Did Mia Audina originally want to represent Ina although living in Holland? Could Taufik think he could do the same.....live in another country yet play for Ina? If he does make the break, sooner is better...he would still be in his early twenties when represnting another country.
