Recently, I discovered a simple way to quickly improve your badminton game. Fold your collar(on a game shirt) upwards.(so its not folded) It improves your concentration, accuracy, speed, and power. Try it.. it really works, I won six singles matches out of six at a recent 3 day internation competiion because and only because I had my collar up. I can easily do 20 10-ball pickups(side to side) without a need for a break when my collar is up while I can barely do 10 with my collar down. I rarely(almost never lose) with my collar up.With my collar up, I can get more than 10 points on someone who has gotten 7 points on fung permadi before. Everyone should try this new and innovative technique. It has something to do with the polarization of the cotton fibers and the magnetic flux through your neck. In fact, when you are just wearing a normal polo shirt(ie, not playing badminton), having your collar up makes you feel better..you feel less tired and your mind becomes clearer. It is a new fashion trend you shouldn't ignore. PUT YOUR COLLAR UP!!!!!!!

Daniel, you are so out of fashion. Xia has been using that technique for years.

and becareful, you will be prone to fatigue. after doing that for a few tournaments, Xia was at the verge of breaking down. these days, he can't even concentrate on tournaments. he has stopped turning his collar up, but i am afraid, he found out too late.

Collar up or down dosent really matter a person performance.i'm afraid It's just a psychological habbit that u have to rely on winning. So dont ever wear round neck shirt to play...if u have some round neck badminton shirt, give it to me...

You forgot the part about where to send our $10 bills and forwarding your message to ten friends so that eternal tragedy does not strike us and our families. ;)

    collars up..

i believe this may be Daniel's source of the collar up joke:

    -----

HK Youth Champion Mankit targets Gade.

    HongKong Internet Hub News Report.

The young, 16-year old, Hongkong resident badminton star Mankit Li has his eyes set in 15-6, 15-9 the reigning world champion Hendrawan. He believes his dramatic improvements in the game of badminton is due to the action of putting his collar up like Xia Xuan Ze. "I get infinite stamina, and God-like reactions and placement with my collar up. My coach hates it, but i love it, and so does my finace Rita Nieu" commented Mankit after slaughtering Chinese Taipei's Permadi Fung 15-0, 15-1.

Wow, beating permadi fung 15 zip and 15-1 is very very impressive for a 16 yr old.
Is it a typo? A 16 yr old who has a finace already? How tall is he? Was he trained in china or in HK? Sorry for all this bullet spray of questions :)

    Re: collars up..

Actually that's the way I've been playing ever since I've seen Xia Xuanze play...
I find I get a lot more air conditioning going on in my shirt, and it doesn't feel like the shirt weighs down on me as much when I sweat from playing.

oh yeah, a very belated congrats to the male WC Hendrawan.
still proving the older guys can win.
(saying that not knowing how old Hendrawan is lol)

    Xia : collar up?

a Chinese article said that Xia pulls up his collar at the crucial point during the last game of China Open final.

his dad was quoted saying that it was the sign of winning when he pulls up his collar, a signature of Xia. Xia said it was superstition, but it worked.

Hahahahaha.... I find this really amusing.... =P

Anyway, I realised tt some ppl didn't know tt Indra and Candra were bros. Why is tt the case? But they can't be as blur as me: there was a period when I thought they were twins!
