No problem... I can go to both, so we'll go on the day you're free.

    So it looks like...

    Oct 6th and/or 13th
    Cappy75
    Wood_22_Chuck
    15Love
    BTC2004 (after 9pm)
    Timeless (maybe)
    BMS (maybe)

    ...but what about dinner??!!!

I guess Timeless is the determining factor...the lowest common denominator!

Hope this is not too much pressure on Timeless to determine our fate on the BADMINTON EXPRESS! It's a one-way train to baddy heaven!

Which ever date Timeless can make it, I presume everybody is OK with it!?

    Cheers!

    Ohhhh the pressure!
Actually I'm more into the dinner than I am the badminton hahaha so definitely count me in for that. I hope the rest of you are into that as well so I don't end up eating alone! Unfortunately, my Wednesday schedule is tight so I really need to know the timing of things for that evening before confirming whether I can make it. So, BMS, could you please lay out how it would work out from say Metrotown/Joyce Sky Train Station?

    example:
    Meet @ Metro/Joyce Sky Train Station 6:30PM
    Dinner @ where ever 7:00PM
    Baddy @ 8PM
    Bubble Tea 10:30PM
    etc

If I could know the timing of that evening, I don't think it would matter which Wednesday we go, just whether which parts of the evening I can attend. Saying that, should we wait until the 13th to possibly get more BFer's out, or keep the group small and go for a first trial on the 6th? Also, I don't know how busy it is there so would it be important to have even 4somes attending to ensure that no one sits out? I don't think it would be fair for anyone to sit out considering the $5 entrance plus the sky train ticket.

w0000 w00000t! All aboard the BF badminton express!

Wished I could join you guys & gals but unfortunately my badminton is restricted to a night or two per week and I'm trying to save credits to be able to play in BMS's upcoming tournament

I'll check with Ivan. The odds are it is for adults, BUT...maybe he will bend the rules a little bit for "little badrad" since they are trying to develop their clientele!

    Cheers!

Oh goodie! Little badrad is gonna kick some major butts on court. Hmm... I better make sure that I don't get games with her on Wednesday. Ain't gonna be pretty getting mine kicked in a new place.

Here's your travel itinerary, Mr. Timeless.

If you plan to start your trip in the lovely city of Cappy75, you will need to catch the 615PM Royal Oak Skytrain heading west to the Waterfront terminal, arriving at 635pm. Your Skytrain pass will require a 2-zone fair.

If you plan to start in the city of Vancouver at Joyce, you will need to catch the 620PM Joyce Skytrain heading west to the Waterfront terminal, also arriving at 635PM. Your Skytrain pass will require a 1-zone fair.

When you arrive at the Waterfront Skytrain terminal, head north towards the Seabus terminal in which you will catch the 646PM Seabus to Lonsdale Quay, arriving at 658PM.

Once you arrive at the Lonsdale Quay, you will need to meet Agent 99 to further discuss your dinner activities!

Please note, should you chose to catch a Skytrain 5 minutes later than stated above, you will receive a quick warmup session while enroute. You will be required to complete a 2-minute mile DASH between the Waterfront station and the Seabus terminal.

Before your itinerary is formalized, your start date of Oct 6 or 13 must be finalized.

Thank you for traveling with Badminton Express!

Please make sure all your travel racquets are in order. Failure to bring authentic racquets will cause you delays in processing appropriate "Court Time"!

    Bon Voyage!

I don't know too many restaurants on that side of town, so it will be up to the other Players to recommend a place.

    Cheers!

    *LOL* That was awesome BMS!

Okay I have one quick question then. If everyone arrives around 7PM in Lonsdale Quay, won't it be too rushed for dinner? Especially to play badminton right afterwards? Wouldn't meeting at around 6-6:15PM be better?

In light of your wonderful schedule layout. I'm able to come to a decision. I can make it EITHER date! Seriously, either date is just as good for me so if you all wish to play this Wednesday, so be it! I will also be in the North Vancouver area earlier that afternoon, and I'll be free to meet up with you guys anytime after 6PM. Dinner sounds great if we can meet around 6PM to fit it in. I was hoping to do the whole sky train, seabus thing with you guys for the camaraderie of it, but I don't think the timing will work out.

If you guys truly have no preference to which week, let's just do it this week, unless we want to wait for more people to jump on board. Why wait any longer than we have to right?

    W00000000000 W00000000000000000000t!!!

For those who may still take the Train, then

5:11PM Depart from Royal Oak Skytrain Station (3-zone), or
5:16PM Depart from Joyce Skkytrain Station (2-zone)
    5:31PM Arrive at Waterfront Station
    5:46PM Depart from Seabus Terminal
    5:58PM Arrive at Lonsdale Quay.

I agree, 6:15pm dinner reservation will allow for ample time for food & conversation!

    Cheers!
