what is your favourite thomas cup team of all time. I think that the china team of the mid-late 80's was supreme. Any team with Zhao Jianhua at number 3 singles must be good. I also rate the current chinese team, not even the world champion could get into the team.

If you fancy you could make up a dream team, must be from same country though!

2000 Indonesian Thomas cup team? They had Tony, Rexy, Candra, Sigit, Halim, Hendrawan, Taufik, as their starting lineup...maybe halim wasn't on the team that year? i forget...i have to check the tape again. Who was the 3rd singles player on that team btw..?

I think Marleve Mainaky was playing third single. It was a good team. They should give a good match against the 2004 Chinese team.

    Hendrawan vs Lin Dan
    Taufik vs Bao
    Marleve vs Xia
    Tony/Rexy vs Fu/Cai
    Candra/Sigit vs Yang/Bo

I will give a slight edge to the 2000 Indonesian team because I think they can get 2 points from doubles.

It was Marleve Mainaky, who is now down at WR 129. A pity a he was the Hero in 2000 semi against Denmark, beating Kenneth Jonassen.

He then backed up again, playing third singles in 2002!
