as said before just ignore it...i mean yea ive done it before in games alyways smiling and grining saying stuff and trying to intimidate the other player(s) and well theres 3 things that you can do a) let it bother you, take notice and let them have what they want. b) just ignore it and dont bother dont let them try and intimidate you or anything. and i guess theres always c) just do the same thing right back...or could always do as brave_turtle said haha i wonder if anybody would actually try that.

under such circumstances, i would just assume the cheerful and friendly side of me (the universal mode for dealing with people whom one is not familiar with - i gather that the rude pig who distressed our good garyvic cannot be someone of close relation), not forgetting to let him see that i know what he is about, but am just too gallant to be bothered by his small act.

Ignore anything from ur opponents as well as their cheering crowd, just focus on the game. Also, you can smile with confidence, to let them know, their strategy never works on you. ;)

    Learn Tricks...

They can intimidate you with words. But just laugh out loud, pretend that they are underestimating you. Then show off some tricks, and air smash.

how come no one has mentioned this?!

why not simply NOT LOOK at your opponent?? i'm assuming the opponent is doing this inbetween rallies as opposed to during rallies....

OR, you could simply yell out "forget it! i don't swing that way!" (he IS staring and smiling at you....) purely assuming same ***...

They'll eat the shuttle also, btw... Provided it was good I'd regret it.
    lol
Now I understand why they say "feeding" when talking about shuttles

Dont bother about it --- best reply is to play so well until that same player is muttering curses under his breath in frustration

    lol

I always deal with it in 2 ways.

The good way is ignoring it, if they wanna gossip on court thats fine with me, i'll just sit back and play badminton

The bad way, stuff i sometimes do to cocky B players, is i focus on every single rally and wait for that one floating shot at the net and then i either
    a) floor it so hard that it bounces up like a basketball and stare the smiler guy down

    or

    b) i take the bird and shove down..... heheh uno and then i smile back at him and i say "Oh i'm sorry", smile, turn around, and toddle bock

hehehe either way seems effective, dunno y
