This person worth mentioning in terms of Jump smashes... Its no other than the current Malaysian Head coach. Yap Kim Hock. During his time.. among all the players who are much taller than him. Yap does produce alot of power PACKED Smashes! For his height which is short.. when you see him leap for the smash.. i think its almost 4feet vertical leap.
He reminds me of one of the shortest slam dunk winner ever in NBA
SPUD WEBB. The verticals!! My goodness!

I concur with Ants. Yap was a really great player to watch, and you'd never expect jump smashes like that just from looking at him!

i thought he was called archer

i dont think it travelled at 163 all the way from his raquet onto the floor so surely someone would have seen it.

    Default powerful smash

The most powerful..should be Rexy Mainaky..His smashes mostly unreturnable by their opponents.. the highest jump while smashing should be Haryanto Arbi and Sigit Budiarto..

it all depends on if we are talking about singles or doubles. In my opinion the double players are hitting the bird faster but with less precision compared to the single players. for doubles i would mention Halim, Fu, Rexy and Jim Laugesen because of the great power behind their smashes. In singles it would be Arbi, Gade(at his peak) and Chen Hong because they could and can smash a hundred of times during a match with precision almost everytime and at the same time the smashesare real powerful.
