Hi im playing badminton for 3 months now, twice a week. i havent joined a team yet but im planning to do so. i played tennis for a long time and now i really wanna get into badminton. im trying to find the perfect racket for my skills as a beginning badminton player, any help would be nice. currently im playing a talbot torro isoforce 411 which was very cheap yoomy
Hi Yoomy When you start you don't wanna spend too much on a racket. I had a heavy racket, one of the cheapest Yonex, when I was noob. As I was progressing, I joined a team and went for a decent racketxs which cost me around 100-150$ CAD. I strung my rackets at 18lbs so they could last longer. Once you get to pro level and you can hit the sweet spot every time you'll be able to handle those AT-700 or MP99 and up. One more thing, if you're the smasher typd, go for Blacknight... lol they're cheap but very good for practicing. Cheers!
black knight cheap? just because they're not over priced, doesn't mean they're cheap. you're just paying more for the "YY" logo...
Join a team or club first. Some of the other members may let you try out their racquets for a game or two. Or even sell you one of their older racquets.
Yonex Isometric 75MF Light is the racket I used when I played at 3 months. It's very good if you're still trying to work on proper hitting techniques. It provides enough power for the learning level and is good for serious games as well.
