Advice on MP-99
Hi,
I am thinking of buying Yonex MP-99 and found one on the net with reasonable price. The seller told me that it is OEM versionproduct. Anybody know about it? What the OEM anyway? Thx.

Gotta remember one thing:
If it's from Yonex, then it's from Yonex. There is No OEM or Other Factory versions.

I have a real MP99 and I am vouching that the one on the ebay site listed in the previous post is a fake. Signs I used to make this determination: 1) the colour of the read section is almost pink. 2) There is no "SP" on the real MP99. SP's the country code which is printed on the cone with the serial number. 3) the "bumps" have metal pieces in the middle which are red, not silver as seen in the picture.

there is no need to do any comparison in this case. purely looking at the price we can already conclude that it is a fake. RMB$389 way below the wholesale price of a MP99.

Factory Settings
hi fellas
I'm new here
I am thinking of getting a MP 99 as well. Does anyone know the default factory string that is used and what tension it is at?
Thanks

Hi crovax, racquets at the high end such as the 99 come unstrung. If there is already stringing on it, then the local distributor or the dealer did it and you can inquire there. Usually people who buy such racquets have very specific preferences as to tension and the type of string, and hence the reason they come unstrung most of the time.

Thanks badder.
I'm thinking of getting it from Directsports.co.uk . They have a factory strung option. Does that mean i wont get any string with it if i order it as it is?
