The Badminton Association of Malaysia's (BAM) secretary Ganga Rao said the players and two coaches would leave for the stint at the Chinese national youth camp in Fujian Province in mid-December. “The players are between the ages of 15 and 17 and nine of them are girls,†he said at the BAM office at the Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara here yesterday. “The arrangement was made possible because of the close ties between the BJSS badminton coach, Sun Cheng Hua, who is from China, and the republic's chief coach Li Yongbo.†The programme would enable the Malaysians to train with China's second echelon players. “If the one-month stint produces the desired results, the BAM would consider sending another group, if not to China, to another country,†said Ganga. – Bernama _ Lucky bunch
