footwork question

    my friend says that when you play you should always stay on the tips of your toes. is this true? he says he got the info from a source id trust.

    "On the TOES" is very misleading. You should be on the "BALLS of your feet". This is to say that you should not be flat-footed. Your weight should be on the front part of your foot and NOT on your heels. Only ballet dancers perform "on their toes" (with point shoes).

    i think it's pointe shoes, not point shoes, from en pointe(on their toes in french).
