I would like to purphase one or the other, what do you guys think I should get? I am an okay player and i like to smash.

One more question. If it's made from Japan, is it real or a clone? Thanks.

depends if you like your racquet head heavy or even balance... at700 is head heavy, mp99 is even balance... they're both amazing racquets, you won't go wrong with either...however a LOT of pros have been switching to AT700...don't know if that means anything to you though...

If it is NOT made in Japan, it is a fake. ;)
(It's a real one if it's made in Japan)

The MP-99 is also an excellent smashing racquet. It is simple; if you play more singles, then the AT-700 may suit you well and if you play more doubles then the MP-99 is a better choice. Both racquets are nice though.

If you want maximum smahing power then try to find the legendary MP-100. I believe it is the most powerful racquet Yonex ever made.

i've tried both of it and can say that both are great... but i do notice that when using the AT700, less power is needed to swing the racket compare to MS99 and i tend to save up alot of energy while using the AT700...

...well i have both racquets... i have both racquets.. and i'll say i like the MP99 better then AT 700... since i can get more power off MP 99 then at 700... well maybe it's because it's 2U... haha.. not sure... but if i was you i would go try out the two racquets out myself... see which one suits you better~

    It's all about preference.

Although at700 does give you more power. Both racquets are great. It's up to you to decide.

I might be getting a MP99 someday, but... If I'm a singles player, will I go wrong by picking MP99?

I have the AT700 and its hard to use and move around. The head heaviness makes my defence slow and I'm forced to use more arm than wrist when performing a smash. Don't you already have a mp99 Dave18? Well, in any case, I'm having the same dilemma because I don't know whether to buy a MP99 or a backup AT700. So all in all, I'd say use the AT700 first, see how you like it, then decide. Just to tell you once again, the switch in terms of defence of the two racquets are pretty big, so be aware of that.

I've heard that MP99 is a all-rounder racquet and might suits doubles or singles game....

but for me...its just not my type.... :p
