Thanks for the information! Seawell
I saw him playing in the German Bundesliga (German first badminton league at Bayer Uerdingen).
He has got an excellent manner.
He played against my club (Bonn-Beuel), namely my Chinese friend Xie Yangchun. He lost to Xie, but it was an exciting match.

Doesn't that picture of him just remind you of a certain Val Kilmer?

Kenneth's definitely one of my favorite players. He plays so hard and fights with such spirit, it's great to watch

in that pic, he looks just like Heath Ledger. that guy who starred in 'the four feathers' and 'a knight's tale'.
he's a really tough player. never gives up.

Exactly! I saw the film and I must say the similarity between both is obvious. Maybe Kennth Jonassen could become an actor. Smart and energetic and last not least a real gentleman! He could play James Bond.

He should be a good choice to replace Prerce Brosnan as the next James Bond.

Kenneth Jonassen in Germany?
Next year after the World Championship Kenneth Jonassen will probably become the coach of the German National squad as Asgar Madsen's successor. A. Madsen, a former national player from Denmark, has been the coach of the German national squad for years.
This was inofficially confirmed to me by the German player Mark Zwiebler who won the French Open last year and was semifinalist in this Dutch Open.
In a negotiation yet not finished, K. Jonassen expressed his wish to play one more year. Then he will train the Men Singles in Saarbruecken, Germany. By the way Xu Huaiwen lives in Saarbruecken, too.Last edited by economet; 11-07-2004 at 03:43 PM.

Jonassen = the mopping guy

sorry...just kidding (for you fans of Kenneth Jonassen) but i could not help remembering thomas cup match between him and taufik hidayat when taufik forced him to "mop" the floor hehehe with his own body. well i don't like taufik but it was funny though
my photographer got this picture where he was still laying on floor while a guy mopped the court next to his side
but i also agree that he's a tough player...when everyone else was having breakfast at the hotel, he and peter gade were practicing hard in the morning. good fighting spiritLast edited by Chesire Cat; 11-10-2004 at 05:27 AM.
