Not junior champ, but U17 champ. At those ages, one year can make a huge difference.
Here how He BingJiao fared at 2012 Asia U15/U17: http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sp...3C4&player=118
Thus far, HBJ's biggest tests came in domestic competitions where she played against girls a few years older.
If Sun Yu moves onto the senior circuit, we may well see HBJ in Asia Junior next year.

When will we see her in the regular (adult) international tournaments. Not so soon for a CHN player, I suppose, may be when she's 18 years old, hopefully earlier than that if she proves herself exceptional. However,if she were a non-CHN player, I won't be surprised she gets entered in both junior and 'senior' events anytime now.

Considering the last international tournament she played was Asia U17. She still has a long way to go.
Let's see how she will do in Asia Junior and World Junior this year. Then we will know more.
Due to poor results from international junior competitions, LYB disbanded the national junior team. The juniors are now trained with the first team. The heightened attention on junior competitions may mean more international appearances for HBJ.
