Someone yelled out:
Pressure on LD to deliver?...LD does not have to win the WC MS title this yr to show CHN is still the top power house in baddy as they've got other events they can win (heck, LD lost in last yr's WC and CHN team still dominates)..
Pressure on LYB and CHN team? they've had it since, what, year 2000 and they still dominate until now..

When one is on top, maintaining that position is the hardest thing to do.
Be it an individual or a team of a country.
The pressure starts from the top guy who has make things happen.
He will make sure that his players deliver by all means.
A look at the China team, the current top baddy country performances and gaps between the next up and coming opponents.
In men's doubles, with the rise of many young pairs from Korea, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia, is it going to be easy for China's top pair?
The same goes to men's singles and I think Lin dan's side wingers really worries Li yong bo
Part of China's success of maintaining the lead all these years has been the players were able to take such pressure. Thumbs up !
Will they be able to do so despite the current scenarios ?

Your brain is certainly not functioning as properly as your pro-MA brown nosed mouth. Isn't a certain individual named L Chong Wei currently at the top of the men's singles ranking for a significantly long time now? So you're saying this certain person is not feeling any pressure compared to the whole of CHN team?

You people are really the bringer of doom to your own aspirations. I sympathise Chong Wei, sincerely.

You have poor reading skill or you never learn manners in school?
If you were not clear, why can't you just ask???
Read again what i mentioned in the first two lines.
Did I mentioned the world ms number one has no pressure to win big major tournaments?
If you can't find it then you have TOTALLY missed the whole point of my post
Team china gets the same pressure or could be even more when playing in such a big major
and they have been handling them well (thumbs up!) that makes them the world best baddy country until today.Last edited by pBmMalaysia; 07-30-2011 at 03:37 AM.

As much as LYB, LD and CHN team have the pressure of maintaining the top position, i'm very sure a lot of other countries would love to be in the same pressure spot that LYB, LD and CHN team currently hold...my suggestion to those other countries: keep working hard and perhaps, one day, you'll be in the same pressure spot position as LYB, LD and CHN team..

I am very sure that countries like China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Denmark and even Korea were at least for once dominated the badminton scene be it individual events like the Olympics or the world's team event like the Thomas cup. Its just that different era it was dominated by different country/countries (those 5 stated obviously).
Can you please be specific on those countries that did not? In doing so you can narrow your scope and offer your "suggestion" to them specifically... provided they listen to you of course.

As a matter of fact most of those countries you mentioned above,
all has the pressure.
The pressure to win one or two events,
the pressure to maintain their position
and the pressure to make a come back.
If there is a pressure measuring meter,
it will be interesting to see who tops the most pressure

For LD, the pressure starts later
.
Talking about just Mens Singles, and about LCW and LD (who feels the greater pressure?), IMHO it would be LCW.
LCW has to win all rounds, otherwise that's the end for Malaysia. When LD plays, he knows that if his other teammates are still in the running, China can still win the title.
However, when LD faces LCW at Finals Day, both of them must be feeling equal pressure.
I would rather not be in LCW's shoes. The pressure on him starts from Day 1. Whereas for LD, the pressure only starts later; from the time after all his teammates have been eliminated.

Chris immediately gets right to the heart of the matter. Must be all the fresh fish you eat!

But you can't really fault China or LD for this situation. They are doing what all other countries should be doing: creating enough good players who play top quality badminton.

Both have the pressure,
Li yong bo is more terror than rashid
I think with China military style added,
it could be worst than the pressure cooker
.
BTW, China players can go independent?
