It could be true. These little things. There was once Arif played against I think it was Daren in JB. His short was too tight at the crotch and it was very uncomfortable he kept adjusting. One spectator from the stand shouted : "Arif, wear wrong short?"
Needless to say, he lost the match.

That arif always wears loose shorts, dunno why that day he wears tight shorts.. LOL.
Anyway, if that's true, i will be catching on Lin dan's performance this week at the putra stadium.

So for those who said he was disinterested, he actually became self-conscious, froze and stopped performing.

I kid of course. Go Lin Dan! Jia You!
Agreed, it is the ugliest hair cut I have ever seen on him. LD is quite a handsome guy but this new hairdo makes him look like a mental case.

The Malaysia Badminton Open title again eludes Super Dan who was convincingly beaten by JOJ in the 2nd round of the 2012 tournament, 14-21, 21-15, 21-15.
Will LD compete again in this tournament?

When Jorgensen beats him, they say he's not serious.... When LCW beats him, they say he's only interested in the Olympics........."they" are Lin dan's true fans....Hehe.

He is not Power Rangers but a good actor.
4 years in a row with some kind of reason or another, I think it is time you come on and accept the facts, it is either team or his personal orders

Whatever the case, it is the badminton fans that lose out on this.

Well there is always Chen Long to fall back on, he is a respectable guy who goes all out.
The improvements he made last year was incredible. Looking forward to his match with LCW.
Hope LCW wins but if CL does, so be it. Just hope he shakes LCW hand before flying off to the stands.

Well, it would certainly be difficult to win his first ever gold medal for the second time. But, I suppose anything is possible.

    from a facebook page:

    林丹说,“比赛的游戏规则是世界羽联制定的,世界羽联觉得多设置比赛对推动羽毛球发展很有利,希望运动员都参加。但是我有自己职业生涯的规则。我想打到多少岁,我想拿多少世界冠军,我会按照我的计划来,而不是一味去遵循别人的规则。我最烦什么都按照别人的计划来,如果非要这样,我想我会选择退役的。”

Lin Dan says: "the player participation rule is set by the BWF. the BWF feels that setting up more tournaments help promote badminton, they hope that players will participate. However, i have my own personal career rules. How old do i play until, how many world championships i want to get, i will do by following my own rule, and not by merely following other people's rule. I do not like to follow other people's plans, if i do that, i think i will choose to retire instead."

Lin Dan has won so much that he is constantly being viewed under the microscope. He'll always win some and lose some.

Off topic. Gao Min, the Diving Queen in her time never won silver or bronze in all major events she partipated in. She only collected Golds! You name it: Olympics, World Championships, Asian Games, World Cup and Goodwill Games.

There was an article somewhere I read about lin dan himself

admitting he would play for his country first.

I just couldn't find them in my searches.

Well, the country badminton system is run by

none other than the famous li yong bo inside china ba.

If both articles / reports are true

then there is some hell of a contradiction here

he can't exactly go out and says "f*** my country/team" when his country/team pays his salary.

but he can go out and say "f*** BWF" when BWF bends over backwards to prevent his country from winning in badminton.
