Lin Dan's achievement level - Divine

Two more tasks left you to do before you retire:

Win the next WC in Guangzhou (time to stop allowing korean Park Joo Bong from topping the gold medal table for far too long)

and last but not least, help China win the next Thomas Cup to surpass Indonesia.

    congratulation to LD!!
1st MS player to win 2 OG gold medals!

what a final match, can go either way, but it's him who finally closed the match!

credit and respect to LCW too, to give such a fight although just came back from injury.

Win the next WC in Guangzhou (time to stop allowing korean Park Joo Bong from topping the gold medal table for far too long)
why must you give him such huge task to do? for me, i personally think that there's no use compare mr. PJB achievements with LD in the term of WC titles. reason would be:
    1. LD won WCs when it held annually, but in the past, it was held once in 2 years.
    2. eventhough mr. PJB won WCs that held bi-annually, but he won it in 2 different disciplines, XD and MD. therefore i think he had 2 chances in 1 tournament, whereas LD just compete in 1, MS.

    peace

With CHN winning all five badminton gold medals on offer at this LOG, it will be another record hard to beat for a long, long time!

Current holders of Sudirman, Thomas Cup, Uber Cup, Five WCs and Olympic Gold Medals?

A record that can never be broken. Good luck to the rest of the countries.

hmm, let's see what had CHN done in the past 4 years.
    clean swept in AE 2009
    clean swept in WC 2010
    clean swept in WC 2011
    clean swept in LOG 2012!!

that's a record indeed, a very nice one. it's the 3rd consecutive time CHN 5 vs 0 THE WORLD, if we won't include the AE 2009.
let's just see what will happen in 2013 WC.

All these clean sweeps except 2010 are done by Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng and Lin Dan

With these three together, China is unstoppable.

Btw, while everyone is completely overwhelmed by Lin Dan's achievement today:

Here is another interesting fact to present:

Lin Dan's victory today has earned himself his 50th career title at the age of 28.

Can he go for a 100 should he continue ?

Yah, but results have to be in the light of the standard of the opponent as well.. If you timed warped him to 2012 he would loose badly!! Just watch the games, it's not even close to todays standards. It's called progress :-) .. Even if the Nokia 3310 was the BEST year 2000, it should be obvious to most people that the progress has made it not comapre favourably with the latest Samsung Galaxy 3...

    translation please?

what i can get based on my poor mandarin:
LD said: we are more matured (than 4 years ago). LCW's foot injury limit his movement, so i actually received some advantage for my win? will have some time with LCW to enjoy many things in London outside of badminton thing, no more topic on match, no nervous, just exploring many interesting things as friend?
even if i get gold, silver or bronze, it's not important. after some 'tornado' in badminton few days ago, i only hope my match vs LCW can change people mind on badminton (and it's athletes)?

please CMIIW. really want to know the content of interview. hehe

Lin Dan has won the Olympic gold in Asia and Europe. He should strive to win the gold again in South America (Rio).

Who cares about those two ......

These are the titles that matter : All England, World Super Series, Thomas Cup, Sudirman Cup, World Champ, Olympic Games, Asian Games, World Cup...

Those two are just the same as the rest of the SS titles he won. So no difference.
