No, at least he must help China surpass Indonesia by winning the Thomas Cup the sixth time.

They havent announced yet which country is going to host it.

But one thing is certain..all Olympic gold medallists will be fielded in the first team line-up for Sudirman Cup 2013 in KL.

They could opt for Wang Yihan..In my opinion, Wang Yihan is the best player to beat all foreign opponents.

Yu Yang/Wang Xiaoli are already taken out of context. Walk of shame for their career exit. There's no way of them coming back.

Congratulations to Lin Dan! This man has nerves of steel, and the will to succeed in the hardest of conditions. He has demonstrated to the world again like he did the the last WC, that the real game at the highest levels, is played in the mind. He has demonstrated again why he is head-and-shoulders above the rest of the pack. Surely, if anyone deserves legendary status over time, it has to be this man.

Is Lee Chong Wei any less? He came second-best because in a matchup betwen 2 exceptional players, someone has to come out second-best. What made the difference was the one gram of focussed activity in the mind. His only "mistake" was that he played in the era of Lin Dan. I think we have been privileged to have witnessed two legends of the game at their best.

Thank you, Lin Dan. And thank you, Lee Chong Wei.
