    you should read previous post before you post.

    someone here mentioned lin dan hasn't won io and mo.

    why?

    because they love to see him play some more.

    Arrow Some people might consider the 5 'Premium' SS tournaments as major tournaments

    .
    Starting from 2011 onwards, BWF will organise 2 types of SS tournaments, namely;
    8 'Standard' SS
    5 'Premium' SS

    Some people might consider the 5 'Premium' SS tournaments as major tournaments.

    BTW, the 5 'Premium' SS tournaments are;

    * Korea Open SS
    * All England Open SS
    * Indonesia Open SS
    * Denmark Open SS
    * China Open SS
    .

    ..imo, there are only 3 major individual tourneys: AE, WC and OG. The SS and PSS are simply an Open with a different title and more prize money.

    ..i believe the only MS player who has won arguably all 3 individual major tourneys plus INA Open and M'sia Opes and even S'pore Open is Yang Yang. LD literally has 2 yrs to win those 3, arguably the only ones left missing in his trophy cabinet, once.

    At the end of the day, when you talk about who's won what, the only individual titles that carry value are the OG, WC and AE. Nobody's going to associate a career defining moment with a MO, IO or SO title.

    of course at the end of the day people talk about the big big titles won

    but for the sake of watching ld spectacular play we should hope or even insist (if possible of course!) for him to continue his quest for more titles.

    Lin Dan can make the Finals with strong finish

    KUALA LUMPUR: Chinas Lin Dan has a chance to qualify for the Super Series Masters Finals if he chooses to end the season with a strong finish.
    The reigning Asian Games champion has been seeded second for the China Open, which starts today in Shanghai, and he is seen as the clear favourite to win the home title.
    He has also confirmed his participation in next weeks Hong Kong Open.
    The China and Hong Kong Opens are the last two events of the 12-leg Super Series this year.
    Only the top eight qualifiers from every event will get to play in the Super Series Masters Finals, which will be held in Taiwan from Jan 5-9.
    Lin Dan is currently in 13th spot. This is due to his decision to skip many of the Super Series events this year.
    If he wins both the China and Hong Kong Opens, Lin Dan is sure to break into the top eight.
    Lin Dan qualified for the last two editions but did not turn up for the Finals because China decided to snub the event by withdrawing all their qualifiers.
    This time, though, China are certain to participate because the World Badminton Federation (BWF) are awarding world ranking points for all the qualifiers.
    Malaysia, meanwhile, will only be represented in the mens singles (Lee Chong Wei) and doubles (Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong).

    If your sole intention of going to the HK Open is to see LD, you should be worried, taking into consideration his withdrawal from the current CO.

    he doesn't even respect chinese fans at CO. I wonder why he still want to win in HK Open. Should have withdrawn from CO earlier as some suggested. What a mockery he is making of himself as a professional badminton player.

    I felt this first time straighly after he won the AG. But seeing him playing CO I should think he is still here to play to end. No one forced him to participate. If china coach planned to walkover him in final rounds it was simplier just said him not to play at all.

    I respect YangYang, HanJian, Luan Jin, XGB, ZJH and the rest very much (humble and gentleman) except for LD. His yoyo playing attendance is really yoyo... He just like to walk through everyone. Imagine some fans flying in and also buying those expensive ticket to see him play and all of a sudden, he says... aw.. this tournament is too easy for me. So heck it, am not playing... I bet the fans will give him the middle finger. As if money is easy to earn.
