Ok, after another year of hard working, I guess it's the time for me to come "back" to vancouver again. Of course, my rackets will come with me, and hopefully see some actions. Briefly talked with my boss regarding to the upcoming schedule, and we agreed that Feb 2005 might be the best time for me to take some time off. I did not set the detail dates yet, as it still 3+ months ahead. I assume it should be either in the middle or the end of the month. This time, I plan to stay at least 5-7 days, per suggestion from my BF buddies (man, I hope I can survive this time. ) Btw, this time, someone might come with me (ok, ok, need to confirm)...
Wow! You're most welcome'd back, Lazybuddy! Looking forward to tons of baddy hours in Feb then. Hopefully your companion is a baddy fanatic too. We'll make sure we have plenty of masking tape for you to practise your "court-lines" procedure, just in case you forget how to do it. -dave
Lol... 1. She's a fanatic. Actually, not too many ppl in my area can match up with my baddy schedule, but she's one of them. But don't be too excited yet, as she still needs to finalize her own schedule. 2. Tape the lines??? Man, I think you have to spend way much more time to "erase" the painted ones in VRC 1st.
Excellent, LB! Next year is going to be pretty exciting with LB coming back in Feb. and Cheung visiting in June! Now we are waiting for Kwun's confirmation. So, Ants... when are you booking your flight?
LB I hope you're not driving all the way to Vancouver, otherwise when you reach there you may become a premature spent force and our BF friends from VRC will show no mercy and will severely test you on your famous dives here and there But actually a leisurely drive through the Rockies is an excellent form of relaxation. But then, there is no chance for you to take 'revenge' after how they 'savaged' you the last time. And now you have to face another giant by the name of Cappy (I don't know whether he met you then) who is very eager to cross swords with you. But again, this time round, there is someone who will be constantly by your side, giving you the moral-support and confidence. With this changed scenario, I think our Vancouver friends better beware!
1. No way I can drive 3000+ miles, as vacation days are too valueable to be spent on the road. I would rather play more games in gym. 2. Cappy75 is the 1st one i met in VAN last time. Actually, i stayed at his house for my past vacation. I am truely thankful his kindly offer and great help. 3. Regarding to my "partner", not 100% about her schedule yet. Hopefully she can cheer me up more often, than laughing at my lowly skill when i have dive all over the place.
A Giant?! Am I really that FAT?!! Geez! That settles it... no more photo posting from me:crying:!!! Actually, me and LB are best buddies! No need to resort to crossing of swords in anger between us! LB, definitely hope your partner can make it to Van next year.
No doubt. We might try to take each other out on court, but off court, we all buddy buddies. Really miss the sushi buffet, too. How come everyone seems show much more interests about my partner, instead of me???
Cappy75 From the many testimonies that I've read from many of your BF admirers, you come across as a GIANT IN BADMINTON! Say, man, this is a high compliment for someone who probably had his early training in our part of the world. Please do continue to post some pics of LB, yourself and others the next time you all play together again. You look very strong in your last pic and with your regular jogs up the mountain, I can now visualize a physically transformed young man, trim at the mid-section and retaining all the toned muscles at the right places.
Loh, You're too kind. I certainly hope to lose a few travelling pounds to speed up my general court movement. With LB and the BF mods coming in, we need to work hard to give them the right 'welcome'! How about yourself? When will you be visiting us?
After that staggering welcome you all had in store for the young and tough LB the last time, a senior citizen like me will be left with nothing to bring home! Coincidentally, we have our Singaporean couple friend from Vancouver who have been staying here for quite a while now, at least a month. But they don't play badminton. I could only dream of Vancouver!
Hey Loh, Nah... why dream when you can do it? Just pick a week of your vacation time and come visit us. Don't worry, we won't leave you with nothing... how does a bottle of Canadian Maple Syrup sound to you?
how about Tim Horton's donuts? I'm not kidding, some people i know here went back to indonesia for a visit and were entertained with donuts.
Krispy Kreme Donuts! One's enough to clog your arteries But they're OHH so good 300 calories per donut, about 20 fat grams per! http://www.dietbites.com/calories/calories-krispy-creme-donuts-3.html -dave
