A few years ago I visited Club La Santa at Lanzarote. It's a resort with lots of sport facilities, such as a fitnessroom and indoor badminton courts. Because I don't like going to the same place twice, I was wondering if there are similiar resorts at other places in the world. Of course, at least there has to be an indoor-badminton court! Does anyone know such sport-resorts?
I like to know too. It's really unfair. Most of the vacation resorts have tennis courts and golf courses. How about badminton!!!! :crying:
yes, there is one, (prolly the first of its kind) it's known to me as the VRC, Vancouver Resort Central Here is a place steaming of badminton clubs filled with baddy crazies. If you still have energies left, you can go hiking, skiing, fishing, camping, beachcombing around BC coast and vancouver island. Food is great too as one can partakes in numerous cuisine like malayisan, chinese, thai, greek, etc and you still have your reliable Mcdonald, Wendy's, KFC, Pizza Huts, Taco Bell, etc. No terrorism to boot either.
We would like to go to Canada in around 2 years' time. Will there be any of these: 1 Natural Hot Mineral Spring(like Japan) with Skiing place plus the "shop-till-you-drop ultra-huge mutlinational big brand name shopping center" Thanks
Banff is the place. Even the japanese come here (banff) for the hot spring and to ski. http://www.canadianrockies.net/hotpools.html http://www.digitalbanff.com/ big multinational brand name shopping centers are located in major cities, closest one to banff is Calgary
There's a place close to home: Center Parks (close to Eindhoven). We went there with our badminton club and besides badminton we played tennis, squash, golf every day. It's not an exotic place, but pretty good for a weekend of fun and relaxation.
Wow! This place looks really good! Prices aren't too bad either. Might just have to persuade the girlfriend that we need to go to Lanzarote next year...
We went there a long time ago and I don't remember the name. It was about 1 1/2 hour drive from Amsterdam. Anyway, all those Center Parcs places are probably pretty much the same. The badminton hall was very nice. There were, as I remember, 6 courts and we had the whole place for ourselves. The floor was good, the net was brand new, and you didn't even have to set up the stuff or clean up afterwards. We made it sort of a sports weekend and when we went home, I was exhausted. Not much rest and relaxation for us, sporty guys, but for the spouses/girlfriends it was a welcome break.
