    ... someone does a smash and it hits the opponent in the head and lands over the other side of the net? Just something that happened today:rolleyes: (I didn't smash it!)

    the person who smashed it would win the point, because as the rules state, only the racquet can be used to hit the shuttlecock,

    head does not = racquet

    i thot the shuttle have to travel to the other side of the net in order to hit the opponent's head

    I think he meant it went OVER the net, hit the poor dude in the head and bounced back to the smasher's side :p

    Once the shuttle touched the player's body, the one being hit already considered losing the rally, regardless where the final location of the shuttle.
