Between SHB 98 MX and SHB 89 MG

Well SHB 98 looks good but SHB 89 have a anti-twist system... Pls post your opinion on the shoes and suggest which should i get...

The anti twist system is for your ankle. When jumping and landing during the game, the ankle takes alot of pressure. In some cases, the ankle may twist and you sprain it then or damage a ligament. The anti-twist sytem is incorporated in the upper part of the shoe...it makes it a little stiffer. Hence, when you land, there is less probablity for your foot to 'topple':crying: In my opinion,SHB89 should be your choice also if you jump alot. Perhaps the anti twist thing can lower ur chances of getting injured:D ...so it actually depends on how strong your ankles are.

I personally like the SHB98 MX. It almost feels like you're walking on air...and you don't feel the landing impact at all after a jump smash!:)

One thing you need to know is 89 is wider than 98. If you have wide feet, 98 might give u very un-comfortable feeling for the 1st 2 weeks or so.

The 89 is wider and more supportive around the ankle, it is also heavier.

The 98 is narrower and has less protection on offer, it is lighter and more responsive.

For me the 89's last longer but the 98 are more comfortable but far less durable worn at the same clubs for the same amounts of time. I also felt the 89's took a while to break in whereas the 98's were fine from the first wearing

I would stick with the 89's if you are wanting a supportive trainer

I haven't tried the 89's but what i can say is that the 98's are VERY nice and comfortable, very light and tough meaning it wont tear/fall apart or anything easily...
i was wearing the adiddas taekwondo shoes to play badminton before and literally the sole at the front was coming off meaning i had to buy new shoes, got the 98's from direct-sport online and came with a free pair of socks :D (not that i haven't got any lol)

adiddas tuscanys dont feel good when you play badminton anyways, because i have a pair and i tried it once, the shoes are way too narrow to wear to play badminton... adiddas taekwondo shoes are nice, but it has no sole padding meaning it hurts your feet after a while so not very good to wear, needless to say the soles fall apart lol

the 98's have very nice cushioning... or maybe its just meaning used to having no cushioning at all lol it actually feels like theres grip inside the shoe where u put ur feet in, ur feet could actually feel the lil raised bumps inside it cushioning ur feet
