    My choice:
    MS:Gong Weijie
MD:Candra and Sigit(?), didnt get the chance to watch their game but
I think they are the best improving pair based on their current
performance... To me, I don't really see any other pair improving
    termendously...
    WS: Xie Xingfang
WD: Zhao Tingting, can i just pick one player? Don't think Wei Yili is improving
    XD:Mette Scholdager

IMHO, Zhang/Yang didnt improve much in their game, but they maintain their standard as the world #1. Were they the world #1 last year?

Hafiz Hashim--At the Singapore Open, before he lost to Kenneth Jonassen in the semis, he took only 29 mins to beat Chen Hong. I doubt any other player can do that. He has also managed to beat his compatriot Wong Choon Han four times in their last encounters.

Koo Kien Keat--He performed extremly well in mixed and men doubles. At a age of 20, he surely has a bright future ahead of him.

Yup, I fully agree that Koo Kien Keat is the one of the most improved player at this moment. But if I'm not mistaken, he was playing at the same year of the World Championship with Fu Haifeng - Cai Yun and the gang (correct me if I'm wrong, and eventually Fu Haifeng - Cai Yun turned pro faster than KKK). Ever since KKK's appearance in the 2004 TC, Yap Kim Hock has been experimenting with his partnership and finally forged him with Chan Chong Ming which I think it's quite successful by now. They won two national titles and after that entered the Quarterfinals in the China Open and the Semi of this current Singapore Open. Not a bad achievement actually ;) Afterall, they are still Malaysians, the jinx is somehow or rather still there - lack of champions in MAJOR tournaments. Besides, his achievement in the MXD is something we can be proud of in Singapore Open so far...the one and only mixed doubles final appearance I've heard from Malaysia so far.

I would say that KKK is currently "da man" of Malaysia's MD ;)

Aww, that means he lost? I have just checked www.worldbadminton.com website for the updated result of the 2004 Singapore Open. The latest report states that Hafiz Hashim had beaten Chen Hong while Lee Choong Wei had beaten Peter Gade. I was saddened by this news.

Does improving your consistency not count as an improvement then?
