carlton powerbalde broke at 25lb
when to restring my powerblade which was still in very new conditon at queensway, ask for 25lbs w yonex 68Ti, racket was strung half way and the racket cracked at 3 o'clock point. was rather disappointed as i thought the racket should be ablt to take up to 28lbs. powerblade owners beware!

How do you know it was the racket? Stringers do make mistakes after all.

And also 25lbs is not that high a tension, also check what tensions it is able to take. Some Carltons are gaurenteed to take more tension due to the makeup of the frame, the AS1 can withstand 40lbs.
And as above the stringer could have made a slight error

There was a time when Carlton had a bad reputation for quality control, but I thought they got past that.
I personally have had no problems with Carlton racquets (I've had 10).
But this is their first non-oval racquet, so maybe they are having problems with the early ones?
Could have been a stringing accident. Depends what half-strung means. Half the mains, or all the mains but no crosses.
Out of interest, which model of Powerblade was it?

superlite. the mains were done., he was stringing the cross and the racket creack at half way point. tough i didnt buy the racket from him, he already told me that he was reluctant tp string the racket at 25 cos the cARLTON AGENT told him that the racket can only do up to 23lbs as he also sells the racket

Another thread on this site sets the limit at 29lbs so it should have been ok
