Sorry, not a fan of the Yonex grips. Though they perform well, they wear out too fast for me, in a week or two.
I'm currently using the Prince MicroTac and it's got very good tackiness and excellent durability. Two weeks into the grip and it still as good as new.
One of the best indicators is my coach who teaches 8+ hours per day. He goes through a Yonex grip in 1-2 days and other grips in 4-5 days. So far he's played with the Prince MicroTac for 7 days and the grip is still in very good condition.

Well, I think Karakal Kushy grip is great or as a matter of fact, ANY replacement grip that they make is long-lasting.
I currently use Yonex Supergrap. It lasts me only 1 week but, I don't bother changing it. I don't see much of a difference when I change grips anyways.

It is indeed homemade and I just throw it in the washing machine. After 8 or so spins, it's gone and back to the cutting board I go.

Hmm...A strip of grip usually last me pretty long time...Like probably like 3-4 months or so..? Not really sure, I don't switch my grip often.

grips change
I change about 2 months once. Pretty average. I know of my friends who are so kiasu that he'll only change when its stink and wait till someone asks him to change. What a funny guy.

Grip Update: since my last post I've tried about 15 other grips. The best two are:
1) Gamma Supreme Overgrip: ultra tacky and absorbent. Very durable. I've used it for 2 weeks and still good so far. A first-rate grip.
2) Wilson X-tra Tacky Overgrip: ultra tacky and very durable. Another great grip but a caveat, the grip is shorter in length than traditional grips so those who want to wrap the cone, better go with the Gamma.
So, my go to grip is Gamma Supreme.

Gamma for me!

They're cheaper than the Yonex ones too and you can get them in re-sealable packs of 30.
I used to use the Yonex Super Grap which lasted up to 20hours. Then for no logical reason, Yonex made it more dry and less tacky reducing it's life to less than 12 hours.
Don't go for the thinner version "Gamma Supreme Grip 2" if you suffer from sweaty hands. They are paper thin, but become waxy when wet.
I don't like those thick spongy Karakal type grips as they make my G5 handles too thick. I prefer the grip to be nice and thin to suit my wristy, deceptive gameplay.

What condition are your towel grips in before you put on a new one?
I've used my Yonex yellow towel grip for 2 weeks and it's already slightly black and grimy. The strands on the towel are getting compressed and encrusted with what I assume is salt from all the absorbed sweat. Now it feels all hard and rough instead of soft and cushioned. I should probably replace it, but I'm so cheap. Here's a picture:

2-3 weeks. I use yonex supergrap overwrap, and the only color I can get is white... now I'm using karakal point75 overwrap with NEON GREEN color...
slightly thicker than the supergrap. I ussually change it when it gets dirty enough.
