hello from Alaska!
hello! as the title states, I'm indeed from Alaska...I dont get to play nearly as much as probably EVERYONE else in here, but I have been playing fairly consistantly since high school...but you know, breaks here and there and now days only having one night a week to play, I'm not nearly as good as I could be. but oh well! I love the game! and thats what matters, right?

We should email the Antarctic science station and ask them if they play? Then we'll have the whole planet!

wow! I didnt expect all this interest! haha but theres quite a few of us that play, but really only a few that are competitive...theres more players in Fairbanks I think than here in town, but they have more nights they can play than we do..but a few of the guys did tournaments in the states, Seattle mainly and always seemed to place in the top 5 anyways in B level competition. so I definatly get a work out! but overall it doesnt seem as popular as it was just a few years ago...*shrugs shoulders* I really dont know why. but thanks for the welcome and expect to see more of me on here!

yeah, Anchorage is a pretty cool place...but yet I feel I need a change of scenery, you know? I'd like to eventually move someplace where I could play Badminton alot more often! haha

oh hell..anywhere! I've lived here for 23 of my 26 years, so you can understand where I'm coming from? lol but on the other hand I'm so acclimated to the climate here it would have to be like Washington, Oregon, some northern state of some sort. they all have way more badminton than I do here in Anchorage. but thats something I'll do in a few years.

Hong Kong needs a lot of English teachers to teach English as a second language. Airfare, apartment with cost of living allowance are provided in addition to good starting salary.

You're right SeelanIanD, there are more players in Fairbanks! Fairbanks is definately the hot spot for Alaska badminton. The Fairbanksans practice 6-7 days a week! Want good badminton? Go to Fairbanks.
