Couldn't really find anything like this in the search... so hopefully i'm not making a new topic for nothing...

anyway, i popped a vein in my right hand's index finger about a week ago... it hurts an incredible amount to smash and hurts after a long time of clearing... obviously, one should stop for an amount of time, and i will, but does anyone know approximately how long it takes for something like this to heal?

You mean you popped a capillary? A vein is quite a large blood vessel...

I popped a capillary once while flexing my fingers. The pain lasted several days...

When I did something like this (burst blood vessel in my thumb), it took several weeks to go away. It also recurred. By switching to a towel grip, however, I was able to reduce the problem (a softer grip when you squeeze the racket handle will reduce the pressure on your fingers).
