Looking good indeed. Wonder how the grip is so looking forward to your review, not that I'll have a chance of coming across that pair over here. Do have to say that that's quite a lot of red on top, must be why there are white laces on the side there
Ha ha, as soon as I saw that picture I knew someone would say that They look a bit cumbersome for badminton, are they a general or multi purpose court trainer? We don't seem to get Mizuno in the UK, only golf clubs
Did one of Santa's Elves come by to help with the pictures or is that one of your own flock?Sorry couldn't resist.Nice shoes.
I thought someone hold the shoes for cheung's photo-taking. By the way, I bought a pair of old model Mizuno badminton shoe(might be called Angel Wave?) for my son's use. Comfortable, good response and Very very durable comparing to other brands. He even it in a very harsh way like running, shopping, long hour training, everything The next badminton shoes I buy must be Mizuno.
The shoes are called "wave angle ME" (written on the side of the box) and are for badminton (not all court). I don't know how much Yonex shoes cost. I'm a fan of Mizuno Like RKJ mentioned, Mizuno is excellent and resilient from my past purchases (Yonex is very bad on the durability aspect). Usually, mizuno shoes are a similar price range to Yonex shoes, but because they last much longer, I think they represent excellent value for money. The model that I am presently wearing (and that is about to retire form the badminton court), is not being sold anymore. The red trimming is a bit loud for my style . The shoe did look a bit bulky initially but when I tried it on in the shop, it felt surprisingly light and confortable. If this model performs on court, I'll be buying about 3 pairs (true badmintonfanatic style!) BTW, the elf came along, took the laces and used them as a skipping rope!
So this is the new model of what my son is still abusing. Mizuno is No. 1 in indoor shoes. When my wife was working with Reebok, the whole family were only allowed(by my wife) to buy Reebok sports shoes AND Mizuno Indoor. Besides Badminton shoes, the running shoes is really very very good.(Creation 5).
Actually, this is a good idea. Having 3 pairs allow two to dry while you wear one pair for baddie. It is quite disgusting to wear wet shoes.
Forgot to mention, the little oval tag in on the front of the shoe indicates the shoe is suitable for wide feet.
I do agree that Yonex shoes does lose in terms of durability. What i like about mizuno is its lightness and style as well , the cushioning is good.. but sometimes lacks of heel support.
I think Mizuno is better than Yonex in sports shoes, but Yonex is definitely better than Mizuno in badminton racquets.
Somehow disagree as Mizuno shoes are a bit heavy and high. On the other hand Yonex are light and low but doesnt last long. Depends on tastes tough but I personally prefer asics as they have a great balance between confortability, stability, price and they last long even tought they don't look as stylish as Mizuno/Yonex.
If you use asics, I hope you don't get into joint problems. Shock absorption is the only complains that my friends are having. Two of my friends used asics and have developed knees problems. I was told that asics are professionally designed in Japan and are more suitable for smaller(lighter) bone Japanese. (Declaration of conflict of interest: redkingjoe is not affiliated in selling sports products in any brand, especially Mizuno, Yonex or acis)
I have bought a Mizuno TP-03 for my wife, it is quite good. Since Mizuno no export version, so the price is very expensive in Japan. I was very lucky to get it in a very good price and my one is still "Made in Japan".
