I have this problem when wrapping my grips, whenever I wrap around a curve a fold occurs, most people should know what I mean. I know you can just overlap more to cover it but is there a way to prevent this from happening?

You can let the folding occurs at the end of the handle. Then, you have an easier time to minimize or eliminate foldings toward the racquet face. After the initial folding, make sure that the tape wraps evenly against the handle and you should be fine.

    2-layers.
Assume that you already had the original wrap on and you want to put on two more layers. This is what I did. I wrapped the first layer one inch above the end of the handle and completed it toward the racquet face. The second layer started at the end of the handle and completed it toward the racquet face.

i'm not sure i totally understand what you mean...
but the way i grip the handle, is that i initially wrap the grip (over the oem grip) without removing any of the celophane. this is to pre-stretch it, then i unwrap it, and wrap it again removing the celophane as i go.
to avoid the "folding," i overlap very little, as you can see in this photo.
the only problem i get with folding is at the cone, when it begins to taper, but i just pull even harder to stretch it out more. and if possible, i push and hold down the bottom layer as i go, to prevent folding. ask someone to hold the racquet for you if you need, so you can use both hands.

red arrows... are these the folds you mean?

    OHHHHHH, HE MEANS RIBBED GRIPS!!

    i think.

on my photo, its a carlton oem grip, with 1 layer of yonex supergrap.
if you look carefully, its also ribbed.

wrap the base as usual, and do what you want with the ribs. but DO NOT put the overgrip over-lap on the rib, or else it'll feel like crap, or possibly peel off there.

make sure the rib is under the center of the overgrip if you like to overlap a lot, or leave just enough room for your overlap if you don't overlap as much (like the photo above)

i added extra comments to the photo.

Pfff! Just cover it by overlapping when you're gripping the handle:p. No biggie here.

the photo ain't mine i took it from another thread, but how do you prevent this at the bottom of the racquet? While at the same time keeping the grip overlap even?

haha, that racquet is also mine. :D

as cappy mentioned, either, overlap the entire fold or stretch the grip a bit, where the fold will occur and flatten it out as you wrap it.

Like Chickenpoodle said, pull it tight and snug from the get go. The folds happens more on the cone than on the handle butt. Basically just take your time when you grip the racquet.

Supergrap is VERY flexible and stretchable. You can stretch, compress it to whatever way you like it, so its jsut a matter of stretching it right to make the bumps dissapear =P
