    Hi all,

I am having my holiday in Hong Kong now and bought a Mizuno Wave angle 2 paiir of badminton shoes for HK$470, is it a fair price to pay? I bought it from a shop in Wong kok . The shop is by a Hong Kong player by the name of Cheung Chi Lok, Do you guys know him? Saw a player's tag in which he represented HK in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Thank you.

    Greetings from Singaporean in HK

What is the model number? Does it read 7KM followed by a number? If it doesn't have 7KM then it is not for badminton.

Names such as Wave Angle, Wave this, Wave that, do not guarantee they are badminton shoes. Just look at the label under the tongue of the shoe and look for 7KM and the model number that follows. Let me know the number and I can tell you if you had a good deal.

Cheung Chi Lok has never been a Hong Kong badminton team............., he was a Hong Kong rowboat team in 1992 Olympic games. His store is called "Emmy".

Wave Angle is a badminton model and the price is OK, no need to worry.

But.......... If............. I said the price is very very high, what will you do??????????????? :D

daz24sg is asking if the price he paid, HK$470, is fair. To answer that I need to know the model number, and I can then check on what is the current list price and what is the current best price I can get in a "price fishing" exercise. As you know almost any badminton equipment prices can be negotiated in HK, very unlike Japan. :D

There are two Wave Angle shoes, one ME, the other R2. The list price for R2 is HK$480, so you got HK$10 off, which is better than nothing. I did a few inquiries and most stores don't give any discount. But I did find a few who could give me better prices, with an average of HK$80 off. :D

HK$470 for a pair of Mizuno Wave Angle ME, model no. 7KM-42062, is expensive, because the list price is only HK$460. The Wave Angle R2 is a more expensive model with a list price of HK$480. For the 7KM-42062, a good price is HK$390. If you buy two it should be even cheaper.
