    anyone know what he puts on the grip at every break? it looks like oil... but that wouldn't make sense.

    Probably its grip powder. Not Oil. It doesnt make sense if its oil.

    You can also get grip liquid which leaves a very sticky residue on the hand once it partialy dries, it is very sticky indeed. The grip powder is more like sand that absorbs the moisture on the grip.

    No, so the grip dries out a bit. It will always go hard and smelly, nothing can prevent that.
