Again, Tri Kus one of the senior players of Indonesia say good bye to badminton. He sent his resign letter to PBSI 29 Nov ago, but not yet get answer. Tri Kus is known as one of the best double players. Partnering Minarti Timur, he got silver in XD in Olympic Sydney 2000. Partnering Emma Ermawati, Tri Kus won also several grand prix tournaments. He is also a hero for Indo Thomas team 2002 when he won with Halim Haryanto in the second double to make the score 2-2 in final against Malaysia. Finally Indo won the Thomas after Hendrawan won the third single. His last partner is Sigit Budiarto.
It is a shame, he was a really good player, and always seemed to try his hardest, even though he was quite small for a doubles player.
That's sad indeed but kinda of obvious once Candra and Sigit got back together leaving him on the sidelines. I'd thought that his last partner was Candra not Sigit.
Yup definatley was sigit. unless of course you are counting the TC as his last tournament (which I think it was). You may be thinking of Halim Haryanto?
it is sad to see him leave. tricky Trikus is always capable of pulling off trick shots that leaves his opponents standing, and he always wears a smile in his face. but one mystery still remains, is his name, Tri, or Trikus?
His name is Tri(first name) Kusharjanto(last name).. The name Trikus or Tri Kus which you guys often see is actually short for TRI KUSharjanto, i guess someone prefer to use an abbreviated last name in tournaments...
Insider's info Hi Just wanna share about this subject... Well I heard from PBSI insider (one of the coach and PBSI official) that PBSI was actually "Pushing" Trikus to retire since he did not have any partner left, so it would be easier if he left...besides he's already old. It's not really surprising since there are lots of things like that inside PBSI body. I haven't been in touch with badminton world (indonesia's badminton world) for only three weeks but it seems that i am a year behind LOL well i have heard about trikus being forced to retire before, it was hmm...around september i guess, once halim quit and moved to usa and it was obvious that candra would be paired with sigit so that left trikus with no option but retire. that's all for today's gossip
woaaaa,, that sure is mean,i mean pushing someone to retire just becos he is no longer useful after all he did,and just that, no 'thank you's or anything?money perhaps? oh,well, anymore gossip?anyone?
Even thought its heartbreaking watching this man win over the msians during the Thomas Cup with his great effort and dives during the game and left us stunned! Its really sad to hear that this exciting player going to retire. Anyway i hope he will be a coach if not a player. Still remember his Power smash! Just insane!
I just wonder how PBSI will reward a player who has achievements like Tri. Usually PBSI give its players a chance to be come an ass. trainer or trainer. Also can be as a member of technique staff, or just a normal staff in PBSI. A player with so many experiences also will be hulpfull for another countries, if he moves out from Indo. We miss his joke, big smile and tricky short.
