To everyone in Vancouver & the Lower Mainland, I spoke with Gary today (one of the owners) of Tad's Sporting Goods on Granville & 70th. I told him about BadmintonCentral.com and the growing number of BC/BF.com members in Vancouver and the surrounding area. I was able to get him to agree to give all BadmintonCentral.com (BC/BF.com) members a 10% discount. All you have to do to get your discount is tell Gary that you're a member of BadmintonCentral.com and ask about the members discount.

In case you're wondering, no I didn't get anything for doing this. I simply thought this would be a nice way of helping our badminton community out. The discount should apply to sale prices too, but if you're looking for more then you're on your own! :p

I think it's rather generous considering how often he could potentially being giving that discount with our growing membership base in this area. And he takes that discount off his take... not the governments. Also don't forget that the 10% should be taken off the ticket price before the tax is added so you'll actually pay less tax overall too.

Only in-store purchase? How about mail order? Any web-site? :)

Unfortunately I don't think they even have a website! *LOL*

It's too bad too, for you guys in the U.S. it would be tax free and so cheap because of the currency exchange!

Hmmmm maybe I should tell him to consider going "high tech" hahaha~

Great job timeless!!! I'm in the market for some new baddie shoes, so I'm gonna go have a look. (Well I would've checked Tads out anyway, but now there's more incentive).

Oh, did you get Gary to come on the board? It'd be good to have another experienced sporting goods dealer here.

Tad used to have a very simple website but it is no longer available.

FYI, Tad and Gary offer 10% discount to known customers and VRC members. So, this is no big news. If Gary offer 30% on all products to BF members, I will be shocked!

Timeless, great job despite of Peter's post. You know, you broke the news and made known a fact to the general public here in BF. That's great.
    By the way:
1 Can you ask Tad to stock up Mizuno 7kv, now?
2 Can you tell Tad about Peter's post and ask him to give a total of 15% discount to make the good news better? It's X'mas shopping time.

    Well done. Bravo! Thanks.

VTsang, only one way to find out... ask Gary or William at Tad's;).

TheRisingX, how much do you value a good string job? Apart from Tad's, there's not alot of experienced baddy stringers in retail.
