When I see a lot of people (Pros) do net shots, I see that their wrist goes up, then down and then up again. My coach taught me to keep my wrist at a 45 angle at all times and use my fingers for the tumble drop. Are both techniques ok or is one used for a different shot?

Well, they kind of draw a circle with thier writs instead of fingers, is this to tumble a fast drop or a drop further away from the net?

All net play, which includes tumble, tap, cross, push or lift, involves the drawing of circles, from big circles for the lift to the back to small circle for the tumble. Drawing circles provides you with the backswing and gives you more option to play your shots. If you don't draw circles you would not have these two advantages.

Get a friend and tell him to stand in front of the net (Opposite your court) and drop a shuttlecock just over the net and from your center court lift up your racquet and return it.Keep on doing this and your netting will improved.

    circles?

i don't seem to understand the circles formed by ur movement. The way i was taught to drop was to keep your racket 45 degrees
and push it in. Like your ironing, then when the birdy leaves you pull the racket back.

but you see having a fren play netting with you is different when you play in a match.in a match at times you are late and cannot get teh shuttle so you tend to take it lower.so does that actually really help

Erm,i am not sure of how to say the proper terms to you but when you are on the courts most probably you will get to experience it and get a rough idea of what i said.
