    Hi ,
I was wondering what string goes well with the cab30ms? I read a few have strung it with BG 65, some with BG85...not sure what else. Which string do most of you cab30ms users prefer?

    thanks

I think you guys should try 88Ti, I have it on my Armortec 500 and I love it. I have a brand spanking new CAB30MS unstrung lying around too...I will most likely string it with 88Ti at 24 lbs.

I think it's again a personal preference issue. If u r not sure, u can either start with economical choice such as BG65, or whatever string u normally used before. If the 1st try serves u well, that's good enough. If the 1st shot is absolutely horrible, then, depend on which factor bothers u, try to get advice from stringer(s) and users for more detailed advice. ;)

My own experience with BG85 (23-25lb) is very good. The Cab30ms+Bg85 combo gives me excellent control with decent smashing power. With about 15-20 hrs of playing time per week, BG85 lasts about 2-3 weeks for me.

Sheung Song Mo (mind my spelling) uses cab30ms with BG80 during the olympics at 29lbs of tension.....

    Yours is the choice.

Here is the string list I used on Cab30MS:

    BG65 at 23 once and 21 once
    BG66 at 22 (my favorite :) )
    BG85 at 22

I will try BG80 at 22 next time as I just got my strings in. :)

I understand there is a new Gosen string, called Roots Titan, a 0.68mm string that has great repulsion or resilience. It is made from a combination of new materials, titanium and tungsten. It also scores high in feeling and control. Gosen claims that it is a new string jointly developed by the Malaysian National Team and Gosen. Does anyone in Malaysia know anything about this? Maybe, it should be a serious contender for the Cab 30ms.

    Oh, that's easy :)

first I used BG65, but felt a bit too thick, so I changed to BG66 (but I was thinking perhaps it's too thin), then I changed to BG85, which is a good choice. Then couple days ago, I was thinking it might be a good thought to try out some BG80 on Cab30MS, as I don't use BG80 often, I just wanted to try the string again :)

Performance wise, I think I like BG66 and 85 both ;) (for now) due to their nice feels and deadly power. Not to mention their sound is loud and clear
