I think with the updated rankings after the INA open, wouldn't Candra/Sigit overtake them for the no.1 spot?

Well, the latest ranking is that Chandra/Sigit is right behind Tony/Halim !!

I've been waiting for this !!

    so,

    1. Tony/Halim with 308 points
    2. Chandra/Sigit with 278 points

Looking forward for the new pair Bambang/Trikus. I really hope they are as good as these two pairs as they almost beat Tony/Halim in INA Open if not for the injury.

yes. finally the world ranking list is reflecting reality more closely:

MS: Chen Hong , Gade , Taufik , Hendrawan
WS: Zhou Mi, Gong , Gong , Camilla
    MD: Sigit/Wijaya, Tony/Halim
    WD: Gao/Huang , Yang/Huang , Zhang/Wei , Ra/Lee
    XD: Zhang/Gao , Soggard/Olsen , Kim/Ra , Bambang/Minarti

i do think that Kim/Ra should be higher on the list than #5 though.

May I know what happened in the match in INA open between Tony/halim and Bambang/Trikus? As in.......did Halim make a number of mistakes, or just Tony not in his best form? Or both pairs were at their fittest but T/H managed to win because of the opponents' injuries?

I think both Bambang and Trikus must be very good at covering the back court.
They have been playing XD and must cover the back court most of the time. Therefore they must play offensively to win the XD game.

So when the two are combined what you get are two very offensive players. I am not sure about their net play though..

And yes, T/H managed to win because of B/T injuries.
If I'm not wrong B/T had won the first two sets 7-5 and 7-2 but at the third set at 1-0 they have to retire because B or T was injured.

Just like Candra/Sigit and Tony/Halim, its only a matter of time before they move up to the top.

Also, budi, it was Bambang who sprained an ankle during the match
