Hello from Shanghai and it's cold here since it just snowed. Seldom do we have snow in Shanghai - so it's a nice white but it created problems for badminton players.

We don't have a lot of stadiums here that are air-conditioned. I was playing doubles the other day and since doubles are not as intense as the singles, I ended up having a FREEZING left arm while my right part is sweating like a horse. :D (i am right-handed). So it's this awkwardness: I had to put long-sleeve on and till I feel the heat I took it off, and when cold it's on again :D :D :D . very annoying.

I am thinking maybe it's a good business if people start to market t-shirts with one long and one short sleeves. haha.   Might write to adidas/nike about this , hehehe.

    I'm in canada

snow creates problems for badminton players here too

for instance after hours of shoveling my arms and legs are so sore i can hardly lift my badminton raquet anymore

i use up all my energy clearing my driveway before i get to go play :crying:

it also makes me late when i can't get my car door open cuz its frozen shut

and and and during christmas all the clubs are closed for like 3 weeks

    :D

I think that I saw some women tennis players wear this kind of asymmetrical tops in Wimbledon a couple of years back. Don't think it was the Williams sisters, so can't be reebok.

I think custom fit is the best kind. You can (or a tailor shop) sew in a sleeve onto your t-shirt. You can specify your arm sleeve length too.

    i think it was Hingis.

to answer the original question. i'd just wear a regular long sleeve t-shirt. i find that the light weight of a t-shirt doesn't affect my badminton. otherwise, buy a long sleeve shirt and cut down one of the sleeve will be the cheapest and easiest way to go about having a long-shirt sleeve shirt.

    jimmyliu83,

Actually, you can warm up your left arm by swinging a squash racquet or a training racquet. 20 push ups will do the trick too ;) .

I can't do one-armed push ups (by just using my left arm)...
After the 20 you suggested, I would so so exhausted in my right arm that I would go straight back home before even playing ;)

If you watch NBA Basketball , look at Allen Iverson of Phila 76ers. He have the one arm shooter's sleeves. Very nice. You may be able to order at UnderArmour.com. I dont know weather they are still selling it or not.
