Hey.. i cracked my Armortec 700 a few months ago... It was in my bag and somehow it just cracked.. i think stringtension was too high and it hit something.. anyways.. is there such a warranty so that i could get a new one? Not from the retailer store, but from the yonex company? it hasnt been a year since i bought it
Well, I am not sure what tension you used, but: 1. Was the string tension much above the recommended tension? (example: 30) 2. Has it been over a year since you bought it? 3. Is there any obvious "wound" on the frame? (example: clashing with others) If there is any "Yes" answer on any of these questions, your chance of getting a replacement is much much less than normal.
its been like 10 months since i bought it.. i think the string tension was like 24-25.. it was the first time i changed strings since i bought it... i think i was using bg68ti... strung at a highschool league tournament... i included a few pictures of it...
return it to the shop u bot it from. You seem to have a good case although there are couple of situations that still could crack the racket like in your case.
Yeah, just take it back to the store and see what store people say about it. Since you are in CA, it should be very convenient.
For me it looks like a production error. Take it back to the shop where you bought it from. If the owner is competent he knows that rackets don't crack that way because of a clash. Two years ago I had the same problem with an MP100. There was no clash or anything else, it just crumbled during a game, although it was half a year old and string tension was only 19 lbs. I sent it back to the shop I got it from and got a knew one without any questions. Normally YONEX is unbeaten in durability of their rackets, but sometimes....
depends on the tensions you've used. the crack seems to indicate structural problem with the frame instead of a clash. so you may have a good case for it. good luck. David of BA.com is a nice guy.
NO WARRANTY 1. Strings on racquet 2. Equipments with physical damaged or mishandling or abused or used for play 3. Used shuttlecocks 4. Broken racquet which had grommets or string or grip removed. Hope #4 won't bother you, as ur pic shows the strings are removed...
