This is my annual tourney. Lots of fun as everyone gets dressed up (an anti-all whites rule) - we have music playing in the gym and lotsa mayhem. I tend to keep things rolling and you better be prepared to play lotsa of games. ( if you play your minimum three ties and are out, each player on a team of four will have played 5-6 matches to that point- if you make the final; close to ten matches each)

The cool part is that you get to pick your line up and can mix it up each round. It gets pretty strategic near the finals as teams try to out the best line out there (for example you can put your stronger singles player in the number two spot, hoping the other team doesn't do the same)

Last year winners of the A event got $900 and seven cases of beer.

B winner's got $420 and six cases of beer.

C event got their entry back and about $250 in prizes.

Also during the night we had games of "English" - the first four people to get to the court played for up to $20 (and rounds of free golf, food, T-shirts etc)

That'd be cool! We had some super heros show up last yeah, along with a couple guys in tu-tus, togas, lotsa REALLY bad neon spandex... some of the most heinous Hawaiin shirts ever made.

that's an excellent tournament. especially the cash prizes. but... badrad in a tutu?

i would give cross-dressers a bad name.

I have to be Ottawa the weekend after your tournament, I will look for way to go earlier and fly through Calgary. It sounds like a real FUN BADFEST!

Shipment of the blue-green shuttles from China came in the other day. They fly pretty good and look almost black from over ten feet away against the cream colored walls.
