In general, most of us do drills and play badminton with synthetic plastic shuttlecocks. What would be the recommended strings to play with in order to have the best feel (sound, impact, control)? Some of you might think it will depend on the racquet but I just want your opinion on the overall performance of which string is preferred for plastic birds. Tayo

So, if you are choosing Yonex strings, maybe use BG65 instead of BG85. BG65 is a good string anyway. It's been so long since I played with plastics, that I can't provide any more exact advice.
BG-70Pro is probably the best for plastic shuttles. The tension holds very well and the strings last for months.
I use BG65 Ti currently. Amazing durability, holds tension better than BG65. Haven't tried BG70 Pro. I rather use BG68 Ti if I had more money fo restrings though.
I have a friend who plays with with once a week, using feathers, and the rest of the week of six days he uses nylon shuttles Mavis 50. His strings used to be BG80 which lasted a month. Recently, I started stringing for him, using new BG66 at 23/25lbs, and he has had no problem with the thinner string which has not broken yet in two months of daily play. I am beginning to think that there are other reasons for early string breakage besides using thinner strings.
I use Bg85 and it last considerably well. I hit harder than my friend who uses Bg65 and he always breaks his strign before me. BTW we have the same stringer.
Second Bluejeff on his selection. BG70Pro is pretty durable for plastic play and very tolerant to mis-hits. With BG65, lower tension (18-23lbs) will increase the durability. However, BG65 is very decent at higher tension but only for feathers though. Plastic shuttles just feel dead if I play with anything higher than 22lbs.
Is that why it also happens to me?? I mean I've been using BG66 at higher tensions than those you have mentioned and yet it does not break.
ideal for plastics, must say amazing repulsion, hold and feel. doesnt fray much and stayed on my racket for six months and then i cut it. if you hit cleanly all strings are durable
